OK, this is probably about the simplest program we've ever recommended here at WorldStart - and by far the easiest I've ever wrote :-)

The windows clipboard is one of the handiest little utilities ever conceived - but at the same time it can leak your sensitive information and slow down your computer if you have a large file copied to it.

So, I was thinking - wouldn't it be great if you could have a little desktop icon that would clear off the clipboard with just a double-click? Well, that's what we have for you today!

Just download the program and run the setup. Once it's installed, you'll see a new icon has been added to your desktop called, creatively enough, WS Clipboard Cleaner. Just double-click (or single click if you're setup that way) and a box will appear for 2.5 seconds telling you the clipboard has been cleared.

Note that this only cleans off the Windows clipboard - not the MS Office clipboard or any 3rd party clipboard utilities.

That's really it - like I said, it's a super-simple program. However, it's great for quickly cleaning off that windows clipboard without messing around with the Clipboard Viewer or replacing the info that's on it with some random text to clear it off.

Finally, sorry about the 2.5 meg size - it's a VB program and this package includes both a setup program and all the required VB 6 runtimes.
