Tip #2668 - See It In Color
Printer Friendly Version | E-Mail This Tip
See
It In Color!
So, you're an MS Outlook
user, huh? Think adding color to your e-mail is limited to Outlook Express
users? Nope, you can do it too! :-)
The first thing you
need to do is select a message from the person you want
to be color highlighted.
Next, you're looking
for the Organize button located on the Standard toolbar.
(You can also find Organize under the Tools
menu).

The Organize feature
will open at the top of your mailbox.
On the left, you should
find the Using Colors option.
Click it.

The statements in
this feature are simple enough.
By default, the first
statement is trying to color messages "from" someone and the
senders name from the highlighted message is already filled in, so all
you have to do is to pick a color from the drop down list at the end.
Click the Apply
Color button.
Voila!
Never overlook an
e-mail from that person again!
The second statement
(only found in newer versions of Outlook) is a feature that will highlight
all messages sent to you, and only you, in the color you designate. If
you want to use this one, pick a color from the drop
down list and click the Turn on button.
Who knew that adding
a bit of color to your Outlook life could make sorting e-mail so easy?!
