Tip #3127 - A New Order
Printer Friendly Version | E-Mail This Tip
A
New Order
Do you use MS PowerPoint's
Slide Sorter view to rearrange your presentations?
Ever find yourself wishing
that you didn't have to switch from the Normal view to accomplish this
task?
Do you have PowerPoint
XP or 2003?
If you answered yes
to all three questions, then I have some good news for you. In the newer
versions of PowerPoint, you can rearrange slides while still in the Normal
view!
Here's the scoop.
You're looking for
the Slides tab, which is found on the left side of the
screen when you're in the Normal view.

If you've previously
closed this tab, simply return to the View menu and choose
the Normal view. This will restore the panes, giving
you access to the Slides tab again.
Once you've got the
Slides tab open, it's a simple matter of click-hold-and-drag for
slide relocation. It's just like the Slide Sorter,
but without the hassle of switching views!
