Make Your Own Ringtones

Are you one among the many who own a mobile phone? If so, you may have a particular one that supports MP3 ringtones. You probably didn't even know that, did you?! Well, even if you did, you may know how to get ringtones from other various places, but what about creating your own? Yes, that's right. Today, I am going to teach you how to create your very own ringtones.

How cool would it be if you could make your own ringtones with just some very simple (and free, I might add!) computer software right from your home computer? Well, lucky for us all, we can do that with just a few easy and quick steps! This tip will guide you through the complete process. Just follow along!

Since we are going to use software, you need to download it first. The software is called MP3 Knife and it is available right here. Once the download is complete, double click on the downloaded file to start the set up. You will see a window like the one shown below:

Keep clicking the Next button until you get the following window:

Now, click Finish to launch the MP3 Knife program.

Or, you can start up the program by going to Start, All Programs, MP3 Knife.

The following window will then show up:

Now, click Open so you can browse through your music files for the first MP3 file that you would like to use to create your own ringtone with.

Once you open the MP3 of your choice, it will start playing in the MP3 Knife program.

Now, you can move the slider to the part of the MP3 music file in which you want your ringtone to start from. Once you choose that, click Select Start.

Next, select the Begin Position. Similarly, you can select the end position and get a view as shown below:

Now, you can click on Play Selected to listen to your selection (in other words, your final ringtone).

If it sounds alright to you, then click Save and save it to your desired location.

Congratulations! You are now done creating your first ringtone.

All you have to do now is transfer the saved MP3 to your cell phone just like you normally would and then just enjoy the free tone. Every time your phone rings, you will be reminded of how you made it yourself and that should make you very happy! You can then create as many ringtones as you want with your very own music. Have fun with this one!
