Add
to Your Whitelist
Are you one of the
many who have created a whitelist for your e-mail to try and keep all
the spam out of your Inbox? If you are, then good for you! It's one step
you can take to ensure that most of the "bad" stuff stays out
of your e-mail and in the trash. Now, before I go any further, in case
you're not familiar with a whitelist, read here.
That will give you complete instructions on how to get one going for your
Outlook Express e-mail program.
Okay, so once you've
got your list created, you'll probably go about your business checking
your e-mail and thinking how wonderful it is to not have to deal with
all that spam. Well, that is until you take a look through your "spam"
folder and you realize that a few of the messages you would normally accept
got stuck in the trash. If you forgot to add a couple e-mail addresses
to your whitelist, it's no problem. It's very easy to add another one
in. Here's how you do it.
In Outlook Express,
go to Tools, Message Rules, Mail
and find the whitelist rule you have created. Under the Rule
Description area, you will see all of the e-mail addresses you
have added to your list. Click on any one of those and new box will appear.
Go ahead and type the new address you want to allow in the open box and
click Add. That will automatically add that particular
address to your whitelist and you will be able to receive e-mails from
them. Click OK twice to finish. So, from now on, you
know that if need to add someone to your list, it's as easy as pie!
