XP Utilities
Sometimes a little
program crosses my path that I just can’t ignore and that is the
case with this week's download. What if I told you I found a program that
can take a lot of the Windows tools you use, some you may not and some
you may not even know about, and situate them in one easy to use centralized
interface? And what if I told you that instead of organizing the tools
in a confusing, convoluted style, the tools are listed for you in a column
form? Wouldn’t that be nice? Instead of racking your brain, searching
through your PC looking for the right Windows utility, you could simply
launch it from a list and be done!
Hidden XP
Utilities is a new and free program that takes the hunting out
of your PC maintenance game by pooling the Windows utilities you want
together in an easy to use list. Hidden XP Utilities has nearly 100 utilities,
including 53 Windows utilities and 43 command line tools. They are just
waiting for you to set them in action.
Now, you may not find
the need for every tool in the Hidden XP Utilities. Some of the command
line tools, for instance, I would say are a little on the advanced user
side of the fence, but some of the others, I’m sure you will come
to find invaluable. I have listed all the tools made available by Hidden
XP Utilities below. As far as the command line utilities, don’t
worry if you highlight one and then choose Launch, you
will see a DOS window pop up and the first thing listed is a description
of the tool, along with instructions on how to use it. If nothing else,
it is a good way to learn a little more about command line tools and their
powerful abilities.
