Monitor
Masterpiece
Do you ever have trouble
getting your computer monitor to sit just like you want it? I mean, sometimes
it can tilt too much or too little and if it's not in the perfect position,
the time you spend on your computer can turn into a real nightmare. So,
I'm here to save the day with a few tips that will help you create the
perfect monitor viewing area for yourself. Let's get started!
First of all, you
should place your monitor right in front of you at an arm's length distance
away. Feel free to move it closer or further away if you need to though.
An arm's length is just an estimate. You also need to pay attention to
your monitor's height. It should be positioned in a way that your head
is still balanced comfortably with your shoulders. You shouldn't have
to move your neck forward or backward at all. A good judge to go by is
when the top line of text on a Web site is just below your eye height.
If your monitor is like that, you should be good to go.
You should also tilt
your monitor so it faces your eyes. The monitor screen and your face should
be parallel with each other. You can test this by having someone else
hold a mirror up to the screen in the center of your viewing area. When
you sit in your normal position, you should be able to see your eyes in
the mirror. Also, if you have trouble with glares on your monitor, try
using blinds, curtains or reduced lighting to avoid them. Everyone's different
when it comes to a comfortable monitor position, but at least you now
know some tricks you can try to avoid any further trouble. Have fun creating
your very own monitor masterpiece!
