E-mail Program: 30Gigs
I have been, am and probably always will be an e-mail pack rat. I keep
virtually all of my e-mail and believe me, I get a lot of e-mail! So,
as you can probably guess, it gets pretty messy with all the newsletters,
personal and work e-mails, confirmations and unwanted spam I get. I used
to have to pay for all that extra storage, but then Gmail was introduced
and I used that. It worked well, but I am sad to say that a year later,
my Gmail account is on the verge of being 100 percent full.
So, I began looking
around for another e-mail service and I was amazed at what I found. And
lucky for you all, I'm going to share it today!
I found a great new
Web site called 30Gigs.com and it offers exactly what I and probably most
of you need. 30Gigs.com lets you have 30 gigabytes of space just for e-mail.
Now, that's a lot of space! It has millions of usernames that haven't
been taken and many more cool features. Are you ready to learn all about
it? Away we go!
1.) First, go to 30Gigs.com
and click on the link that says "Sign up now! It's free!"
to begin.
2.) Just enter some
simple information about yourself and your new account. Then click Create
Your Account Name Now!
A confirmation message
will be displayed. Be sure to keep you username and password in a safe
place. To go to your Inbox, click the Login Page link
and then enter in your information.
Your Inbox will then be displayed.
As you can see on the left, there is a list of your folders. 30Gigs uses
folders for organizing e-mails.
At the top of the screen, you will see the action buttons, which let you
compose, move and delete your e-mails. And slightly above those, to the
right are the settings buttons for 30Gigs.
30Gigs' simple interface makes it easy to send and receive e-mails, just
like you currently do now. Now, allow me to explain some of the features
of 30Gigs.
Folders - As I said before, 30Gigs uses folders to organize
your messages. To create a new folder, just go to Personal Settings,
Folders, New.
Multiple Identities - 30Gigs.com allows you to send e-mail
from any of your other e-mail accounts as well. To add another account,
just go to Personal Settings and click Identities.
Finally, a feature that sets 30Gigs apart from the pack is the free spam
icon. It is a technique that many spammers use. It's like a "robot"
that is used to search auction Web sites, forums and other sites for e-mail
addresses to send spam to. With an image spam icon though, the automated
robot cannot retrieve your e-mail address. 30Gigs.com gives you a link
and code to post the spam image, so you'll always be able to keep yourself
safe from spam. How cool is that?!
