Tip #3880 - Click What? Printer Friendly Version | E-Mail This Tip
Click
What?
Here's a quick one for you!
When you're working on your computer, how many times a day do you run
across something that tells you to right click? I know we use that phrase
in our computer tips all the time and I'm always seeing it on different
Web sites as well. It seems like an easy thing to do, but what if you
don't know how? Well, allow me to give you some basic instructions!
All computer mice
have a left and right button. So, when you're asked to right click something,
put your hand on your mouse and use your finger (it will usually be your
middle finger) to push down the right button. Most right clicks come with
a right click menu and that's what you'll see, depending on what you're
clicking on. You will find yourself mostly right clicking the desktop,
folders, icons, e-mail messages, etc. It's just a quick way to get what
you need to do done. And the same goes for a left click.
I know a lot of you
are probably thinking this is very elementary, but I'm positive it will
help at least one of our readers out. When you're asked to right click
so much, I can't imagine how difficult that would be if you're not sure
how to do it. So, like I said, if this tip helps at least one person,
I'll be completely satisfied. Now, go on and practice your right click.
You never know when you're going to need it next!
