Yahoo!
Messenger Search
Are you an avid user
of Yahoo! Messenger? You know, the instant messaging program you can use
to chat with your friends and family. If you use it, I'm sure you already
know about some of the great features that come along with it, right?
I mean, Yahoo! does a good job of covering all the bases when it comes
to the program's features. And today, I have a brand new one to tell you
about that you may not have heard of before. I really think you're going
to enjoy it, so let's get started!
To check this one
out, you'll need to be in the middle of a conversation with someone. So,
if you're not right now and you need to wait until someone comes online
so you can talk to them, that's fine. After you've sent a message or two,
hover your mouse along the right hand side of the message box. What do
you see? There should be a purple magnifying glass there that pops up
every time you move your mouse (like this:
).
For each line of text, there's a new magnifier. Go ahead and highlight
one and then click on it. You will then see a box that says "Yahoo!
Search Loading."
Once it's done loading,
you will see some search results. If you take a look at them, you'll see
that they are results for the line of text you chose to search in. Cool,
huh?! So, if you're in the middle of your conversation and your friend
uses a word you don't know, you can click the magnifying glass and you'll
be able to read some definitions for it. Or if someone mentions the name
of a city, a store, etc. and you want to learn more about it, click it
and you'll have a set of results to choose from in just a matter of seconds.
You can use it for just about anything within your conversation. It's
just like having your own little Yahoo! helper right there with you. It's
so handy. Give it a try today!
