Tip #4098 - Gmail Notifier

Gmail
Notifier
If you're a daily
subscriber to WorldStart's Computer Tips newsletter, you know that the
other day, I wrote an article about a Gmail tool that is only good for
Mac computers called gCount. Well, lucky for all you non-Mac users, today
I have a similar program, but this one is only good for PCs. It's called
the Gmail Notifier and I know you're not going to want
to miss out on this one. Let's check it out!
With the Gmail Notifier (which
is a Firefox extension), you can monitor your Gmail e-mail account right
through your Firefox Web browser. Just like with gCount, you can see how
many unread e-mails you have waiting for you in your Inbox, etc. Also,
once you install the extension, a new Gmail icon will be added to your
taskbar and you can use that to check on your e-mail, as well as, customize
the Notifier to meet your specific e-mail needs.
And that's not even
half of the exciting news! Gmail Notifier recently (in June 2007) came
out with a new version (0.6) and with it, you can now monitor multiple
Gmail accounts all at the same time. Yep, you heard me right! So, if you
have more than one Gmail account or maybe you want to keep an eye on your
child's account, you can check both of them all at once. That way, you
don't have to keep logging in and out of the accounts all the time. You
can just watch them all from one computer and be on your way. It's so
convenient and it just couldn't be any easier to use. If you're interested
in getting the Gmail Notifier for yourself, you can download it right
here.
Now, go on and get it!
