New Release: CCleaner 2.0

How many of you use CCleaner? I know there's a few of you out there, because every once in awhile, I get e-mails from you asking me questions about it. Well, either way, I think you'll enjoy the news I have for you today! I'm sure you've already figured it out from the title of this tip, but yes, CCleaner has come out with a new version and as of this past Monday (September 10, 2007), it is officially available for download. Now, I know you don't want to miss out on this one, so read on for all the details!

The new version is CCleaner 2.00.500 (but you can just say 2.0 for short) and coming along with it is a whole slew of new features. One of the major changes though is a redesigned user interface. Yep, that's right, CCleaner 2.0 has a whole new look to it and I think you're really going to like it. The best word I can think of to describe the new design is "modern," but don't worry, the speed and usability you've grown to love is still going to be the same. You'll be able to see the changes as soon as you download the new version, so you'll have to be sure to check it out for yourself!

Of course, the interface isn't all that has changed! Some of the other new features include a complete C++ rebuild, there's much quicker cleaning and analyzing, CCleaner is now portable and compact, you can now exclude certain files, etc. from being cleaned and there are just tons of other little tweaks in all areas of the program. This new release really does cover it all! If you'd like to download CCleaner 2.0 for yourself (and who wouldn't?!), you can do so right here. Once you're there, click on the link that says "Download Latest Version" in the top right hand corner. Then just follow the directions and you'll be all set. I hope you enjoy this new version of CCleaner. Now, go on and clean up your computer!
