The
Service Packs Are Coming!
As I'm sure some
of you already know, approximately every year or so, Microsoft releases
service packs for their various operating systems. Well, we here at
WorldStart have just been informed that new service packs are going
to be coming soon for both Windows XP and Windows Vista. Yes!
For Windows XP,
Service Pack 3 will be coming out at the beginning of 2008 (and just
in case you haven't looked at a calendar lately, that's only a few
months away!) Microsoft just released it for testing to the IT community,
so it will be ready for everyone very soon. The XP SP 3 will package
together all previous updates that have been released since the last
service pack (2), along with some other new items. The updated version
includes a few security patches, a much easier way to activate Windows
XP and a network access protection module.
Now, for Windows
Vista, its Service Pack 1 will be released by the end of this year
(2007). This service pack will also include all of the previous updates
for Windows Vista, along with a few new items. The Vista SP 1 will
have some security updates and a new feature that will allow users
to create a recovery disk. Awesome!
All of this is
great news for Windows users! It will save you all time on those updates
you're always having to download and it will also ensure that you
have received everything you need to keep your Windows computer up
to date and ready for anything. The service pack for Vista will also
fix any of the Vista issues that came about when the new operating
system was first released.
It's all coming
your way very soon, so keep your eyes peeled!
