Now
Available: Firefox 2.0.0.9
If
you recall, in last Wednesday's issue of the newsletter, I informed
you that Firefox version 2.0.0.9 would soon be released. At that time,
it wasn't finished yet, but I told you it would be on its way very soon
and well, it has arrived! The new Firefox 2.0.0.9 was
released this past Friday (November 2, 2007) and it is now available
for download. I know several of you are already aware of this, because
you've been e-mailing me non-stop about it, but just in case some of
you haven't heard the news, I'm here to give you the full scoop!
In
the last article, we talked about how version 2.0.0.8 had just been
released and how Mozilla quickly started planning for another new release
once they found various problems within it. (You can read that full
tip here
if you'd like). A number of bugs were found in the 2.0.0.8 version and
a couple were even classified as critical. Mozilla said there was no
way to fix those problems without creating a whole new version. We're
all very lucky that Mozilla was able to identify the problems so fast
and get everything straightened out. Don't you agree?!
Now,
because of the issues that occurred, it's possible that some of you
experienced some startup problems with your Firefox browser. I'm sure
that was very frustrating, but I assure you the problems have been fixed.
You can download Firefox 2.0.0.9 for yourself right here,
if you haven't done so already. Or, you can just open up your browser
and Firefox will automatically download it for you. If it doesn't start,
just go to Help, Check for Updates and
it will be done. It's highly recommended that you get v2.0.0.9 as soon
as possible. It only takes a couple minutes to do, so what are you waiting
for? Update your Firefox today!
