Microsoft
Security Bulletin: November 2007
A few weeks ago,
I wrote an article about a security issue involving Internet Explorer
7 (you can read that here)
and I just thought I would follow up on that today. I wanted to let
you know that Microsoft is releasing a patch to fix the problem I
discussed in that tip.
Just yesterday
(November 13, 2007), Microsoft announced that the monthly updates
will be sent out for the month of November very soon. The one item
marked as critical is the patch to fix the Internet Explorer 7 URI
handling issue. The patch should be coming out this week yet (and
some of you may already have it).
To make sure you
get the updates, you can go to the Windows Update Web site by clicking
here.
The November 2007
updates will also have some other non-critical fixes packed within
them. Those items include an update to the Microsoft Malicious Software
Removal Tool and an update for Microsoft DNS servers. You can read
the full Microsoft November security bulletin on this Web
site, if you're interested.
Until next time,
stay safe out there!
