Your Gmail Story
Here's
a fun one for all you Gmail users out there! What do you use Gmail for?
Do you use it just for your e-mail needs or is there more to your story?
For example, maybe you use your Gmail account to stay in touch with
some family members who live hundreds of miles away from you or perhaps
you use it to chat with an old friend who recently moved out of the
country. Either way, Gmail comes in very handy for all those long distance
relationships or whatever you may have. And that's why Google wants
to hear about it from you!
From
now until December 31, 2007, you can submit a video to Google, telling
them what you use Gmail for and why you love it so much. I told you
it was fun! To get started, just come up with an idea for your video.
Do some brainstorming and really dig down deep to come up with a fun
story idea. Google wants to know how Gmail has come in handy for you
and they want to know why you choose it over any other e-mail program.
If you can find a unique way to tell them that, you've got yourself
a video!
When you're
ready, just start filming your video (you will need a video camera for
this part!) You can be as creative or straightforward as you want, but
just make sure your video is no longer than 30 seconds. Once you've
put the finishing touches on your video, you can go to this Web
site and upload it. To do so, click on the Upload Video
to YouTube button and follow the directions. The Google staff
will review the entries and they'll post a few of their favorites on
Gmail's Web site for all to see. If you're having trouble coming up
with some good ideas, you can watch some sample videos from the link
I gave you above as well. Whether you decide to do this or not, it's
just a fun way to speak your mind and who knows, you could be the next
Gmail star! : )
