Staying
Extra Safe
I know how much
everyone is concerned about their security and personal information
on the Web, so this week, I found a couple Web sites that will help
keep your data extra secure when you put it on the Web. The first
one is called Guerrilla Mail and the second is called
The Cloak. Both of these sites offer great features
for extra security options.
Have you ever
wanted some information from a Web site that requires your e-mail
address? I know I have! And once you do that, you know what happens.
Yep, you give the company your e-mail address so that you can get
the information you want and you then get an e-mail from them everyday.
Well, that's when Guerrilla Mail comes in handy. You can go to Guerrilla
Mail and get a temporary e-mail address. That address only works for
15 minutes, but that should be long enough to get the information
you need, without having to give out your actual e-mail address. Sounds
like a deal to me!
Secondly, everyone
talks about how your personal information is gathered by Web sites
and search engines everyday. Well, The Cloak puts a stop to that!
The Cloak is a site that sets up a proxy for you. That way, no matter
where you go on the Web, the Web sites you visit will not be able
to access any of your information. The only information they get is
from The Cloak.
You can check
out these two security sites here: Guerrilla
Mail and The
Cloak. Until next time, stay safe out there, my friends!
