2007 Top Searches
As
you may recall, at the end of last year, I gave you a list of the most
popular Google searches for the year 2006 (you can read that tip here).
Well, I was looking over that list a few days ago and I got to thinking
that you all might enjoy a new list for 2007. I know 2007 isn't over
quite yet, but this year, I wanted to give you a little extra time to
check out the searches for yourself, all before 2008 begins. And like
I said last year, I know this isn't something WorldStart does very often,
but I wanted to throw something a little more fun into the mix. So,
here you go!
The
most popular searches are put together by Google's Zeitgeist, which
is an affiliate of Google that always compiles fun little lists of information.
They are based on the millions of searches done on the Google search
engine over a year's time. The complete list is broken down into different
categories, but we will go over only a few of them today. I just want
to give you a little taste of what the majority of you searched for
in 2007!
Let's
start with the most popular questions. In first is "Who is God?,"
followed by "What is love?" and "How to Kiss." I
found those last two rather amusing! A few that made the list for the
most popular news searches are American Idol, YouTube, Britney
Spears, the iPhone and Iran. Some of the most popular search terms were
heroes, transformers, Ron Paul, Weight Watchers and Pilates. The Wii
game console made the top of the list as well, especially during October
and November. Different politicians were also very popular among searchers.
You can see a full list of all the most popular searches here.
So, tell me, what did you search for in 2007?!
