Tip #4462 - Gmail Disk Printer Friendly Version | E-Mail This Tip
Gmail
Disk
A couple days
ago, Erin wrote about the possibilities of Google making an online
storage area known as the Gdrive. Although Google has not yet released
this type of technology, some great programmers out there have created
a program that turns your Gmail account into an online storage space.
It's called the Gmail Disk and it makes a disk on
your computer that looks something like this:

All you have to do is install the Gmail Disk and then enter in your
Gmail username and password. Doing that will automatically create
the virtual disk for you.
After putting
your files onto your Gmail Disk, just log in to your Gmail account
and search for “gmailfs.” That will show
you every file you have added to the Gmail Disk. Pretty cool, huh?!
You can download
the Gmail Disk for yourself right here.
To install the program, just download and extract the zip file and
then double click on the Setup.exe file. The program
will then do the rest on its own. Enjoy!
