America’s
Best Restroom
An odd topic,
I know, but who doesn’t enjoy a nice bathroom?! We have a McDonald’s
in town that was just newly renovated and it has a nicer bathroom
than I have in my house!
I have to admit,
I’m proud that Jungle Jim’s in Fairfield, Ohio took the
number one slot for 2007. They are really neat! The outside looks
like a port-a-potty, but inside, there are really lovely restrooms.
They even have a sign in the store announcing their number one status!
If you go to the
ABR Hall of Fame link on the right side menu, you will see the top
five listings for each year from 2002 to 2007. After each one’s
name, you’ll find a link to some pictures. Just click the See
It Here link to get to the pictures. You’ll also get a description
of the location on that page.
Whether it's an
awesome gas station restroom or a restroom in a five star restaurant,
if it's nice and it's located in the U.S., it can be nominated for
the "Best Restroom" award. Do you know of a public restroom
you’d like to nominate? If you do, just click the Nominate a
Restroom link on the right side menu.
All you have to
do is fill out the form. The fields are Name, E-mail Address, Location
City, Location Building, Location Contact, Contact Phone or E-mail,
What Makes This Restroom Special and What Do You Look For in a Restroom?
When you're done, click the Submit Nomination button and you’ll
be good to go.
Don’t have
a specific restroom in mind? That’s okay too! You can still
take the Restroom Survey also located on the right side menu. Just
answer the questions to the best of your ability and click Submit
Survey. One of the things I hate when you go into a public restroom
is that the sinks are sopping wet all over!
You may want to
bookmark this Web site so that you can vote in the finalist ranking
for 2008. Once all the nominations are collected, they release the
top 15 to the Internet for a public vote.
