Fake
Name Generator
I have a lot of
different uses for this Web site! One is to make up realistic character
names for stories I’m writing. Another use is to name characters
in a game I play. When every name I could possibly think of is already
taken, I turn to the name generator.
One of the uses
suggested by the F.A.Q. section is to use it to provide information
for online forms to protect your privacy. Although, I've found that
no matter how you use it, it's a lot of fun!
So, how does it
work? Well, just specify the gender you want, choose a name set from
the drop down list and pick a country. Then click Go. That will generate
a random fake name with fake information to go with it. Pretty easy,
right?!
The results will
display like this:
Name
Address
Web site
E-mail Address
Phone
Mother's Maiden Name
Birthday
Credit Card
SSN
UPS Tracking Number
(I'm not sure what this is good for. Maybe statistics).
Don’t like
the first name that comes up? Then just keep clicking Go or changing
the options until you find one you like. There are tons of names in
this generator. I’ve yet to get a repeat, so you have a lot
of options just waiting for you!
I was a little
leery about the fake information they provide, especially with identity
theft happening more and more frequently. So, I made sure to check
out the F.A.Q. page to see what they based all of their information
on. If you’re curious about that too, I’d suggest checking
