Tip #4666 - RosterBot

RosterBot
When you first
see this Web site, you’ll probably think it's rather bare. There’s
just a log in field and a Sign Up button. RosterBot is a more refined
version of the meeting site I brought you a few days ago. Here you
will be able to enter the e-mail address of your team, enter in the
date of your event and RosterBot will then go to work polling everyone
to see when they’ll attend, etc. It will then show you the results!
The registration
process is simple. Start by clicking the red Sign Up button. The next
step is to enter your name, e-mail address, phone number and password.
Your phone number is optional, as you only need to supply it if you
need your team members to have a contact number for you. Now, click
the Next button. While you continue setting up your team event, your
confirmation e-mail will come (mine showed up almost instantly). All
of this is also explained on the right hand side of the page.
The team fields
include the name of the team, sport (optional), logo, URL, team type,
postal code (also optional, but if you put in a postal code, it will
provide a map for your guests), country, state, city and the checkbox
for the terms and agreements. When you're finished, just click I’m
Done!
Your next step
is to add players. To do so, just click the Add button next to the
Add More Members option. There's an e-mail field, name field, phone
number, position and jersey number to fill out. When you have all
your members added, click the OK, Next button. Now, you’ll need
to fill out your time zone, query time, respond time and manager report
options. Those are simply the times when you want things to happen.
For example, by default, it is set to query your members three days
before the event.
Now, you can move
on to the calendar page, which is where you will set up your events.
Here you’ll see a calendar where you can pick the date, as well
as, fill out the event fields of date, time, location, etc. You must
have an event title and location to move on.
This site is very
easy to use and it looks great! It will walk you through each step
to make your next event so much easier to plan. I think it's useful
whether you’re planning a Little League baseball game or a board
meeting. I know it has made its way into my favorites!
