Copying
Your Error Messages
What do you do
when you receive a cryptic error message? Most computer users search
for the error on the Web with their favorite search engine. However,
that means you have to copy down the entire error message and then
go off and search for it. Well, not anymore! Today, I'm going to show
you a little trick that makes this procedure so much easier. Let's
check it out, shall we?!
The next time
you get a strange error message and you don't know what it means,
just follow these steps:
1.) As soon as
the error pops up, press Ctrl + C.

2.) Now, open WordPad by going to Start, All
Programs, Accessories, WordPad.
3.) Right click
and select Paste.
4.) Presto! The
error message is displayed and will look something like this:

5.) Now, you can
copy the error message and paste it into your search engine to try
and find a solution to the pesky menace!
Here's another
method you can try as well!
1.) Another way
to copy an error message is to take a screenshot of it. We've gone
over this before, but let's do a quick review!
2.) When an error
message is displayed, hit the PrtScn button on your
keyboard.
3.) Next, open
the Paint program by going to Start, All
Programs, Accessories, Paint.
4.) Once you're
there, right click and select Paste. Your screenshot
will then appear.
5.) Now, it's
a good idea to use the tools in Paint so that you can focus only on
the image of the error message box. You can do that by using the Select
or Crop tools and by removing the background.
6.) When you're
finished, you can upload your new image to a message board (like WorldStart's)
where other users will be more than happy to fill you in on the story
of the error you're receiving.
Here's to knowing
exactly what your error messages mean!
