Café Mom

Café Mom is a Web site dedicated to bringing mothers and expectant mothers together! While anyone can use the site, to get the most use out of it, you’ll want to register. It's a simple process started by clicking on the green Join Now button. Fill out the form and click on the Sign Me Up button. You should get a confirmation e-mail almost instantly, as well as, a Welcome to Café Mom private message.

I highly recommend you check out the Getting Started Guide. You’ll find a link to it in the private message you receive or you can follow this link to go straight there. This section will show you how to make the most out of your profile. It will also show you how to meet other moms, join groups, get advice and invite other moms.

Navigation is pretty simple too. Just use the blue tabs across the top of the page.

Home – This is the tab where you can see your profile, your photos, your journal and the Hot List. The Hot List is a listing of the most popular articles. On the opposite side of the page, you’ll see your Chatterbox, which is where people can leave you messages. You'll also see which Groups you have joined. There is also a Shortcuts area that has links to popular sections around the site.

Today – This section is devoted to all things happening today. You’ll find birthdays, expecting, new arrivals, new members, top contributors and logged in listings. If you scroll down further, you’ll find the Photo of the Day, Post of the Day and Group of the Day. Also, just beneath that, you’ll find the Thought Bubble map, which will show you what other moms are thinking.

The other tabs of Photos, Journals, Hot List and Groups are dedicated to showing you the latest and most popular topic postings. Those are the sections you will probably spend the most time exploring and they are pretty self-explanatory.

Small Changes/Big Impact is the last tab. Here you will find what you can do as a mom to help the environment. Whether it's as simple as spending a few more dollars on energy efficient light bulbs or planting a tree, you will find a bunch of ideas here to help you "go green!"

I think this is an excellent community for moms and expectant mothers. Enjoy!
