April
2008 Windows Updates
Let
me see a show of hands. How many of you have already installed the Windows
Updates for April 2008? I hope most of you are raising your hand, because
this month's updates are as important as ever. As you may know, a total
of eight updates came through, with five of those being categorized
as "critical" and the other three as "important."
A few standard updates were included as well, including the Microsoft
Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool. Okay, let's check these out,
shall we?!
In all honesty,
once I read through all of the updates, I was pretty baffled. Most of
them are a little difficult to understand, so I'm just going to give
you the basics. Four of the critical updates dealt with issues happening
in different versions of Microsoft Windows. Depending on the operating
system you use, you received the updates designed specifically for your
system. A couple of them also fixed problems in Internet Explorer and
various MS Office programs. The three important updates included patches
for Windows and MS Office as well.
Like
I said before, some of the updates are hard to understand, but if you
want to see a complete rundown of everything that changed on your computer
this month, check out this Web
site. It explains everything in full detail. All of these updates
are very important to have on your computer, so if you haven't installed
them yet, I urge you to do so soon. Otherwise, you will be unsafe for
a whole month and I really don't want to see that happen. Be kind to
your computer and get them today, my friends!
