Do you love a
good quote? Do you keep a book of quotes so that you can keep all
your favorite ones handy? I hope you do, because I know I do, and
I’d hate to be weird. I like to include quotes in my
correspondence, especially inspirational or uplifting ones; they
just add that special something to a letter or card.
Citatoe is a site devoted to helping you store your favorite
quotations. They even have a demo account that you can use to try
the site out before spending your time registering – if it
turns out you won’t use it.
I recommend
starting by using the demo account. Click the word Try on the
yellow banner and it will fill in the demo account login
information, then click the Sign In button and you’ll be
whisked away to the demo account. To get started once you’re
inside the demo account, scroll down and click the Add Book
link.
Title your book, and then you’ll need to find it on the
listing of books, they’re alphabetical. My demo book is
titled Rawr. Once you click into the book you’ve created
you’ll see a form to fill out. Type your quote in, add some
tags so that it is easy to search, and then press ctrl+enter to add
it to the book. The page will refresh with the quote and the form
to add another quote.
If you decide that this would be a great way to store your favorite quotes you’ll want to log out of the demo account by clicking sign out at the top of the page. Then when you’re back on the home page, you’ll want to click Register to create your own account. All you need is an e-mail address, and to create a password. You’ll be immediately taken to your very own book area where you can start building your collection of quotes.
What I did was make books by who said or wrote the quotation, because it stores them in alphabetical order sorting the books by the person’s name makes them easy to find.
