Okay, for those
of you who may not know exactly what CAPTCHA is, here is a quick
refresher. CAPTCHA is a unique image of letters, number, symbols or
a combination of all three that web designers use to make sure it
is a real person who is trying to access the website or account and
not a bot. Some websites may even go as far as to give you a math
problem to solve. It varies from website to website or designer to
designer.
Here is a picture of what it may look like. (This is one that
MySpace uses.)
Ok, log into your MySpace account click on the Mail link at the top
of the page, then go to Settings > Communications
> (at the top in the heading click the link)
“No More CAPTCHA”.
The unfortunate thing is that you would have to have a mobile cell
phone to send the code to in order to stop this feature. It
supports most popular cell phone companies.
Enter your ten digit cell phone
number into the first text box; select the cell phone company you
are with and click the Submit button.
MySpace will send you a text message
with the code in order to be CAPTCHA free; you will only be CAPTCHA
free on that computer you are on and they advise that you do not
activate this feature if you are using a public computer.
Now you can log into MySpace and
leave comments faster without being held up by CAPTCHA!
