So, are you tired of double clicking? Frustrated with not being able to double-click fast enough? Wish you could cut out that second click? Well, you’re in luck, There is a way! Our first stop is the Control Panel, which is where you control almost everything about your computer. Go to Start / Settings / Control Panel. With your Control Panel open, look for the Folder Options icon and double-click on it (this will be the last time you have to double click). The Folder Options box will open. Now, look at the last section on the bottom called ‘Click Items as Follows.’ Here you have two
options; ‘single click to open an item’ or ‘double click
to open an item’. Select ‘single click to open an
item’ and click Apply, then OK. Congratulations! You are now an ex-double-clicker. But remember that as double clicking is replaced with single clicking, single clicking is going to be replaced with just setting your mouse pointer over the item. Have fun! --Patti Brown
