One of the new features of Android Lollipop is lock screen notifications.
I find two downsides to them. They aren’t easily actionable – because you have to unlock the screen before you can access them.
Secondly, they could provide more information that you want others to see on you lock screen. Maybe a message from someone you don’t necessarily want everyone to know is messaging you. Maybe they’ll give away your secret Candy Crush addiction.
Here’s how to turn them off. Tap the settings gear.
Then choose Sound & Notification.
Scroll down to Notifications on lock screen and tap it.
You can either choose Hide sensitive content.
Or choose to have no notifications on your lock screen.
