Jack from Washington asks:
A couple of day ago I downloaded Internet Explorer 9 and I don’t like it. Is there any way I can get Internet Explorer 8 back?
Hello Jack, and thanks for the question. If you don’t like Explorer 9 you will be glad to know it is very simple to go back to Internet Explorer 8.
First of all, close all open programs on your computer.
Click the Start button in the lower left corner, click the Control Panel, and then click Programs and Features. Click Uninstall a Program in the Programs Category.
Click the View installed updates link located in the Tasks pane on the left side of the window.
Find Windows Internet Explorer 9 in the list of updates on the right, right-click it, and then click Uninstall. Follow the onscreen instructions and allow the program to uninstall from your computer.
When it is finished uninstalling, you will need to restart your computer. Click the Restart Now button to restart your computer when you are prompted.
Open Internet Explorer 8 by double-clicking the icon on the desktop. Alternately, you can open it by clicking Start, click All Programs, and then click Internet Explorer 8. Click Help from the menu bar at the top, and then click About Internet Explorer. If you see Internet Explorer 8, you have successfully uninstalled Internet Explorer 9.
Click OK to close the window.
We hope this tip has helped you get back to Internet Explorer 8 on your computer.
