Update: Firefox

Update: Firefox

If you’re an avid Firefox user, you probably already know about the most recent update Mozilla has made to its Web browser, but just in case some of you haven’t, I’m here today to fill you in! It’s really great news, so make sure you listen up. On September 18, 2007, Firefox was released to the public and it is now available for download. Why was it updated, you ask? Well, make sure you keep reading to find out!

Lucky for all of us (well, those of us who use Firefox), this new version comes equipped with a fix for a critical code execution problem that has been going on for quite some time. The problem started with some QuickTime media link files that were found to be corrupt. If these files are used, they could eventually be able to install malware on your computer and just basically, damage your computer in various ways. So, if you’re still using Firefox, you’ll definitely want to upgrade to the new version as soon as possible.

Fortunately, the QuickTime problem was the only thing affecting Firefox, so this new release won’t bring a lot of change to your browser, but you’ll definitely be better protected. To install Firefox, just visit this Web site [1]. When you get there, click on the big green button that says “Download Firefox – Free” and follow the directions, just like any other download. Or, if you would like to read more about the critical update that was fixed, you can do so by clicking on this link. Well, that’s all I have on that, so go on and enjoy your new Firefox browser. I know I am!
