I heard from a student with a problem. “I just finished viewing your YouTube on How to burn a DVD using’ Windows DVD Maker.’ I followed all the steps and still …. my DVD only works on computers – NOT – DVD players…WHAT steps did you leave out? ~~ I vaguely remember on the old Windows DVD Maker– they had a ‘finalize’ component – I need this to complete my college class work…. I’m USING Windows 10 … “
The problem is that Windows 10 doesn’t come with built-in software capable of burning the types of DVDs that play in DVD players. You can certainly copy various types of files to a DVD, but if you want to burn that type of DVD, you’re going to have to purchase some additional software or find a free alternative.
