The one thing you notice as soon as you become part of the knitting and crocheting community is that there is always a group or organization that are using their skills to give back to the rest of the world. Whether it is baby blankets or stuffed animals for kids, or like this site patterns for soldiers – the community is brimming over with people who want to use their skills to help others in need.
Here at Bev’s Country Cottage, you’ll find free USA troop patterns along with instructions on yarn choices, both fiber and color, for your project.
You’ll find patterns for hats, slippers, and cool ties. The hats and slippers are marked with a K for knitting, and C for crocheting. Cool Ties are sewn out of cotton fabric, and I have to admit I found the cool ties to be fascinating to make. At the very bottom of the page you’ll find patterns for mittens! I didn’t notice them till after I’d read through everything a couple of times. So I wanted to mention them so you don’t miss them.
This is a great way for your knitting or crocheting circle to help the troops abroad. Check it out today!
