Using the Message Board

How do I use the Message Board?

As many of you know, we have a WorldStart Message Board where you can ask questions and interact with other readers. It is yet another free resource we offer to you. The writers and editors of this newsletter often don’t have time to answer individual questions, but the Message Board is full of people eager to help.

Being on the newsletter mailing list does not automatically give you access to the forum. Also, if you have a user name and password in our software store you must create another one for the forum—they’re separate databases.

So how do you get on and start using the forum?

First, head over to the board…

Read the rules, regulations, and info. If you can play by the rules click “I Agree…”

The next thing you need to do is create a user name and password. To do this, click the “Register” link on the left side of the toolbar. Read the forum rules, check the box if you agree to abide by them then click the “Register” button.

Create a User Name and Password, enter your email address then type the letters in the image to the right. Don’t worry about the “Additional Information” section. Click the “Complete Registration” button.

You will get an email sent to the address you listed telling you how to activate your account. You must follow the link in that message before you will be allowed to post. So, go to your email.

After clicking the link in your email you can edit your profile to add any personal details. You can also modify options. In addition there is a link to take you right to the forum so you can finally ask your question.

To post, select the link for the appropriate forum for you question or post. Click the “New Thread” button.Give your post a title and type in the text area. When finished, click “Submit New Thread” or you can preview the post before sending.

Check back often to see if anyone replied to your post.

I hope you get a lot of use from our forums.
