Welcome to Vintage Technology, where you will learn all about the technology from the late 20th Century. I found this site by playing their quiz Hit or Miss, where you decide if a piece of technology was a hit or a miss at the time. After playing the quiz, I decided to check out the rest of the site, and it was pretty nifty, so I knew I had to share it with you!
On the main page, you’ll see the featured content – while I was there it was about calculators, how technology was delivered, catalogues, adverts, and the hit or miss quiz! At the top of the main page you’ll find a navigation menu. Just click on the category you want to visit, the categories are: Adverts, Bric-a-Brac, Calculators, Components, Ephemera, Glossary, History, Hit or Miss, Radios, Transport, Ultra, Valves, Wanted, Metal Puzzles, and Clocks. As you can see from that list there’s tons of stuff to check out!
My favorite section was Radios! When you click into the section you’ll see an assortment of radios, who knew they could be so interesting looking? Especially that last one, it’s covered in what is supposed to be crocodile skin. Click on a radio to learn more about that model. You’ll learn all about it from the technical aspects of how it’s put together to what the knobs on it do.
This is a really neat look into the past of technology! Check it out today!
