I notice wireless keyboards and mice are no longer the norm for new HP desktops - yes I'm suggesting that wired is not gone just not as convenient in some cases. This family has four computers; a laptop with built-in wi-fi running Windows 7; a laptop with a wireless adapter running XP; a PC running XP connected by ethernet cable to a wireless router; and the main machine, a PC running windows 7 connected to the same router. We can get internet on all of them through the router, but how do I create a network on which they can all talk to each other? I wish I understood that. It might help with my problem.
