Vista Ad Campaign
Now, before you say anything, I just want to make it clear that I am aware that Windows Vista has been out on the market for at least a year and a half. There’s no doubting that, but according to Microsoft, it’s never too late to launch an ad campaign for their current operating system. Yes, that’s right, as we speak, Microsoft is working on a multi-million dollar ad campaign in hopes of clearing up any doubts or misconceptions about Vista. I know this is pretty interesting, so please keep reading for all the juicy details!
I’m sure you’ve all seen the commercials on TV by Apple for the Mac computer. You know, the ones where one guy is a Mac and the other guy is a PC and the Mac goes on to say some pretty harsh things about the PC. Well, Microsoft finally figured out those commercials are causing a bad effect and they’re going to start fighting back a little bit. The new ad will focus on turning the user’s perception around in regards to software and hardware incompatibilities. If you use Vista, you know what I’m talking about!
One of the details Microsoft is including in the ad is that 77,000 devices are now compatible with Windows Vista, which is double the amount from when it was first released. They’re also focusing on business applications, saying 99 percent of them can now be used with Vista. They have even launched two new Web sites to go along with the campaign and they’re going to do all it takes to help users understand that Vista really is a good product. I know you all have your own opinions about Vista, but I urge you to keep an eye out for the new ads and really try to learn something new. It’s the least we can do, right?!
