Where’s The Print-Friendly Version?

Wednesday, January 21st, 2015 by | Filed Under: Quick Tips

Meha writes:

So many good tips to save in personal file. Is there a simple way for you to put these in a ”print friendly” format?  I select sections-copy- put in an out going email to my self-then do another section-copy-paste, until I have the entire article. Then I have the entire column-that I can edit and size-then print! Than you for all the helpful things you have shared with

Glad we could be of help Meha! And you’ll also be glad to know that every article we publish is already available in a print-friendly version.  It’s usually not a great idea to print things from webpages or newsletters unless a print-friendly version or printable version is available. You’ll end up using a whole lot of ink, plus get the whole web page or newsletter and not just the part you want to see.

For Worldstart, just click the printer-friendly link at the bottom of the article in the newsletter:

If you’re viewing from the website, click the printer icon at the top left of the article.

Just want to start out by saying that I have been getting your tips for years and between the tips and the forum I have learned a lot so thank you!

For this reply, instead of printing out relevant tips I save your email to a Worldstart folder in my Yahoo email then I can go through them anytime I want or need to.

    Thanks again,

Rather than even printing the tips, here is what I have done for years. I copy then paste into a word processing document, save it as “Worldstart Tips” (or whatever you like), edit it as desired, then save it; no printing but it is available to read anytime wanted. Next time I find an article I want to keep, I follow the same procedure but paste the new item at the end of the old one. I use Word as my word processing document and so I can perform the “search” function of the software for the entire document when I want to retrieve a tip on a particular topic. That saves manually searching through many e-mails.
It would be cost-prohibitive to have printed out all the tips I have saved this way. When my document gets to be 200-300 pages, I start a new one and I now have 3 such documents. By the way, I also include a few tips I copy from other sources – but don’t tell Worldstart. :)
