Here’s a question, I’ve been asked about four times today. “Will there be a way to get a Windows 10 disc or to burn a disc.”
The answer is yes. When your receive your e-mail notification from Microsoft that our free upgrade is ready, you’ll also find a link where you can burn discs or format a flash drive to install Windows 10.
If you’re upgrading from a genuine copy of Windows 7, 8 or 8.1, it should upgrade without asking for a product key. If it’s a new install, you’ll need to supply a product key.
Microsoft doesn’t suggest doing this until you’ve gotten a message from them that your upgrade is ready. (assuming you reserved an upgrade) They are still in the process of troubleshooting some particular configurations of Windows 10 and certain hardware and will notify users when their particular set-up is ready to go.
