Have Win7 on Lap top Don’t like. Have talked to people who have Win 8. Me thinks I’ll stick to Xp.

I’ve installed Windows 8 on my Windows 7 laptop. Major problem because MS Security Essentials needed to be removed and although it is a MS program it blocked the installation. MS should have worked that one out. Also the Mail program of W 8 sucks, one cannot create a folder for messages.
Overall I think W 8 will be very difficult for the average user. I had to use keyboard shortcuts to access various parts of the program.

I am not liking what I am seeing with Windows 8 so far.
I haven’t actually used it yet, but based on the info I have seen on it so far, it’s looking like a step backward rather than forward, atleast as far as the “desktop” goes anyway.
I like my Windows 7 desktop and I think that is right where I am gonna stay until I either see something that changes my mind or Microsoft ends up “forcing” us to get it by refusing to support 7 any longer. And don’t think they will never do that either, remember Windows XP? great OS but now that 7 is the “big dog” XP has been kicked to the curb and is no longer supported. The same thing WILL happen to Windows 7, it may not happen for a while, but it will happen, and when it does, we will have no choice but to upgrade to Windows 8 or buy a Mac (ugh! no thanks!).
