Windows Vista Update

Friday, November 10th, 2006 by | Filed Under: Uncategorized

Do you have any updated information on Windows Vista? I’m just curious about it and would like to stay informed throughout the whole process, until it is actually released. Any news would be very much appreciated!

Well, you’re in luck, because as a matter of fact, I do have some recent news on the whole Windows Vista phenomenon. Let’s take a gander at what I have for you today!

Although it may be hard to believe, at one point or another, we really will be showered with the release of Microsoft’s Windows Vista. On the other hand, it may not be in the next few months, as Microsoft was hoping. Windows Vista was set to be released to computer manufacturing companies on October 25th, but unexpected delays have gotten in the way.

Antivirus developers, such as McAfee and Symantec are complaining that Microsoft has not released Vista information to them yet. Why is that so important, you may ask? Well, so far, these companies have not been able to adapt their computer security software to be compatible with the new Windows Vista operating system. For example, right now, the stats show that the average time it would take for your computer to receive a virus when connecting to the Internet for the first time is 12 minutes. So, you just might want to have some sort of security software installed on Vista before you connect it to the world wide Web. What do you think?

To hopefully promote computer sales during the holiday months, Microsoft has teamed up with several PC vendors to offer free Microsoft Vista Upgrade coupons to buyers who buy Vista capable PCs. This coupon offer started in the last week of October. Microsoft still hopes that those who plan to buy new computers when Vista is released will instead buy a Vista capable computer further in advance.

Microsoft has also released information that Windows Vista will help prevent DVD piracy. According to Microsoft, Vista will contain certain tools that will prevent the user from copying any copy protected DVDs.

Well, there you go! That’s your current Windows Vista update! Hope it’s good enough to fulfill your imagination until the next set of news arrives!
