Wine Library TV offers 1,000 videos that will take the snobbery out of enjoying wine.
Have you ever walked into a wine shop and met a snobby sommelier who would rather talk down to you than sell you a bottle of wine? I have! But this site is different! It encourages and educates its viewers through straightforward wine tasting, teaching the different elements that go into a good wine (soil, sun, and wind). In a nutshell, it takes the intimidation factor out of trying to learn about wine, and makes it accessible to people who have yet to develop their palate. Additionally, this site is ideal for those who have a developed taste for wine, but want wine reviews.
I’d recommend starting in the About Gary section, where you can learn all about your host, Gary Vaynerchuk, and the ins and outs of what the show is about.
If you want to start at the beginning of the video blog, go here to view the first episode. Since it’s blog style, you’ll have to scroll down to the bottom of the page to start with the first one. I don’t find the first one very accessible, but even the host acknowledges that. Over the series, it becomes more accessible and you will learn a lot about wines.
Want to learn about a specific wine or topic? Then click Past Episodes and browse the right hand column of categories. My roommate and I drink a lot of ice wine when we can afford to, so I wanted to check out what Gary had to say about it. I scrolled down to the I’s and clicked on ice wine. That whisked me off to a listing of all the episodes featuring ice wines. I learned about what it takes for a wine to be classified as an ice wine, and what the difference is in a late harvest.
While there aren’t new videos being produced, there is a wealth of knowledge just waiting for you here at Wine Library TV! Check it out today!
