WS App Review: Spirograph
I have many fond childhood memories of the Spirograph drawing set. Back then you pinned little plastic circles to paper with pushpins and used plastic discs with various holes in them to draw amazing shapes with colored pens. Of course, eventually you’d run out of paper, lose some of your discs or your pens would go dry. Now thanks to this fun, free Spirograph app, I can draw without running out of ink or accidentally drawing on myself or the table. Instead of the little plastic circles and discs, you have easy to navigate controls that allow you to control the size of the circles and disc and the placement of you pen. Plus you get a wide variety of color choices for your “ink” and your background.
The app allows you to save your creations or share them via social media. You can even tell it to auto-draw if your finger gets tired of moving the discs around the circle. I find it to be a very soothing activity. This easy to use program would be fun for kids and a nice memory for those of us who are just a little older.
Best of all, it’s free! Check it out in the Google Play Store or The Kindle App Store.
– Easy to navigate interface
– The only con I can think of is that you could end up wasting a lot of time doodling.
