Yad Vashem brings you the Holocaust Martyrs’ and Heroes’ Remembrance Authority. This is by far and away the best site on this topic that I’ve ever run across. There are so many features I want to tell you about, and so much that you can explore here so let’s dive in!
One of the easiest ways to explore a lot of areas of interest is to click on the image that scrolls through different featured areas of the site like: Architecture of Murder, Heartstrings the Music of the Holocaust, the Untold Stories, Through the Lens, and more. Each of those featured sections are like mini-sites that could stand on their own.
Another way to navigate the site is to just check out all the information featured on the main page. There are tons of things to check out like Virtues of Memory, and Holocaust Martyrs’ and Heroes’ Remembrance Day.
Yet, another way of navigating is to use the menu bar along the top of the page that is divided up into the following categories: About Us, The Holocaust, Research, Digital Collections, Education & E-Learning, Exhibitions, Remembrance, Righteous, and Visiting.
Yad Vashem is dedicated to the remembrance of those who died in the Holocaust, and celebrating those who survived it; as well as, educating the world about the Holocaust.
Whether you have a passing interest or are tracing your heritage; this site is well-crafted and informative.
