Did you know that while you’re busy watching the latest movie trailer for The Hobbit, YouTube is calmly collecting information on how fast your Internet connection is?

It’s Google – what did you expect? But the good news is that you can actually check and see all the info they’ve aggregated by going to: http://www.youtube.com/my_speed (you may have to log in first).

…you can even read a helpful FAQ to see how they go about doing it.
