Football fans will like this one. Expect to see even more NFL content on YouTube. The NFL will be adding dozens of classic games to watch in their entirety on their YouTube channel.
The NFL will post three of the most memorable games each for every team in the NFL. No exact date on when these games will be available, but the NFL says it will be before the start of the 2016 season in September.
Also expect to see an expanded amount of content. One change this year will be that game highlights will actually be uploaded to YouTube while the game is still going on.
You’ll see a lot more NFL results when you search using YouTube’s parent company Google. If you search for an NFL team, a special box with official NFL video, news and information will appear at the top of the search results along with information about the broadcast and kickoff times for games.
According to Hans Schroeder, a senior VP with the NFL, “”This expansion of our partnership will make it easier than ever for the millions of highly engaged avid and casual fans on YouTube and Google to discover and access an even greater variety of some of the most valuable content in the sports and entertainment business. Our fans continue to demonstrate an insatiable appetite for NFL digital video content online.”
NFL games are viewed in 78% of all homes watching television and account for 46 or the top 50 highest rated programs shown in 2015.
